Who is EJ?

About us

In the Chimacum Valley, nestled in the shadow of Tamanowas Rock is where EJ Farm took root. Amid a whirlwind of possibilities and new beginnings for Elizabeth and Justin, 2 acres on Rhody Drive became their home where they have created a family, life, farm and now a school together.

Elizabeth Bento, Director/Teacher

Elizabeth Bento, the "E" in EJ, spent her younger years in Port Townsend, WA and after many moves throughout Washington and Oregon she was able to finally move home to the Olympic Peninsula.

She is a certified K-8 teacher with her Master's Degree in Teaching and brings her excitement and years of experience back to where it felt like home. Her passion for teaching and learning is evident in the success and happiness of her little learners.

Justin Bento, the "J" in EJ, grew up in Kingston, WA, and found success in the field of advertising, however he was not fulfilled by the corporate world. He became intrigued by the possibility of a job where he could give back to his community, thus his career in education began.

After earning his K-8 certification and Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, he found himself moving to the small rural town of Chimacum, WA, just 35 minutes from where he grew up. His excitement for teaching and learning is felt through the energy and joy that he brings to the classroom.
