About the EJ Education Team

About us

Elizabeth Bento, Director/Teacher

My younger years were spent in Port Townsend, WA along with several other locations throughout Washington and Oregon. After earning my degree in Psychology and Sociology from Washington State University, I continued on to gain my Masters in Teaching.

In 2006, I began my career in education as a public school teacher in Vancouver, WA, and worked within the public school realm until 2021.  The pandemic let us redefine what education could be, and inspired our micro-homeschool!

Our students' success makes each day special and valuable; the families we have supporting us are pretty fantastic as well!

Justin Bento, Vice President/Teacher

I grew up in Kingston, WA, and found success in the field of advertising; however, was not fulfilled by the corporate world. I became intrigued by the possibility of a job where I could give back to my community, which prompted my degree in Education.

After earning my teaching certification and Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, I moved to the small rural town of Chimacum, WA, just 35 minutes from where I grew up, and worked as a public school teacher for many years.

I love to bring energy and joy into the classroom.

"We are so pleased that our children get to be a part of this amazing education experience."
